What are we living for? If not love.

Love.

Love is romantic. Love is platonic. Love is abundant. Love is around me, around you, around all of us. We just have to recognize it. It's in the project you pour so much effort into, it's in the eyes of a child who sees a butterfly with awe, it's in the hug you give your grandparents, it's in your dreams and your morning coffee, it's in the way you look at yourself in the mirror, wearing your favorite outfit, it's in the origami heart you made that you give to your best friend, it's in the relatable video you send to your sibling. It's in the good morning message you send to your parents.

Every person in this world is capable of love, and everyone deserves love. It's our mindset that tells us we are unworthy of love, but we aren't. At times, it gets difficult to express love not from its lack or the lack of the effort but the lack of knowing of how to convey it.

Sylvia Plath describes beautifully how difficult it gets to express love sometimes

"and when at last you find someone to whom you feel you can pour out your soul, you stop in shock at the words you utter — they are so rusty, so ugly, so meaningless and feeble from being kept in the small cramped dark inside you so long."

We eventually learn, with time, how to love and how to be loved. The most important love of all is the love we give to ourselves. That's something we should put all our efforts into—to fill our own cups with love until they overflow, so we can pour as much love as possible into someone in dire need of it.

To love is to grow,
To love is to know
when to let go,
To love is to hold
when necessary.
To love is to understand,
To love is to consider,
To love is to think,
To love is to live.
